Preview the existing conditions on your boat so you’re prepared for any obstacles before starting the retrofit.

Not sure how to get started?

Install all Magnet A into your existing seat cushions first—this completes about 50% of the job quickly.

Some snaps may fit differently—looser from wear and tear or tighter from corrosion. If too loose, add glue or contact cement; if too tight, apply a drop of silicone.

Remove all existing snaps from the fiberglass deck before installing.

Magnet C is designed with a countersink to fit either a #6 or #8 stainless steel flathead screw (typically 5/8"), so match the size to what you removed.

Overtightening Magnet C can damage it.

Only secure until snug—do not overtighten.

Avoid drilling through fiber glass deck, this may interfere with hatch closure. Always measure twice before proceeding with installation.

Boat vibrations may loosen hardware over time.

After your first few runs, recheck Magnet C screws and add marine caulk if needed (but avoid glue, so parts remain replaceable).

Strong magnets can snap together forcefully, which may pinch fingers or break the magnet.

Use caution when opening your 12-pack and separate magnets carefully.

Using the wrong tool or applying too much force can cause breakage.

Always use a screwdriver and do not overtighten Magnet C.
